THE EXPERIENCE
How long does the experience last?
The immersive VR experience lasts approximately 45 minutes. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time to check in, store your belongings in secure lockers, and prepare for your adventure. Plan for a total visit time of about 60 minutes.
In which language is the experience presented?
The experience is offered in French, English, Mandarin, and Spanish. Please note that subtitles are not available.
Is the experience suitable for children?
The experience is suitable for children aged 8 and above. For safety reasons, children under 8 cannot participate, even if carried by an adult. Children aged 8–12 must be accompanied by an adult. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver on-site for minors, acknowledging the risks and authorizing their participation. Please note that accompanying adults cannot assist children while they are in VR.
Can I purchase a gift card?
Absolutely! Yes, gift cards are available for purchase on our website.
Am I allowed to take photos or record the experience?
Yes. Photos and videos for personal use are allowed. We encourage you to tag us at @mondesdisparus_montreal. Please seek staff approval if they appear in your photos or videos. Flashes and tripods are prohibited. Professional photography requires management authorization.
Are guided tours available?
In the VR experience, you will be accompanied by a virtual tour guide. Additionally, on-site staff can answer any additional questions you may have.
Is the experience the same for every visitor?
Yes, the experience is the same for each visitor.
Do I need to wear specific clothing for the experience?
We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Avoid hats or caps due to the VR headset. Backpacks and handbags must be stored in the provided lockers. Heels are not recommended.
How many people can participate in a group at the same time?
Groups consist of 1 to 4 visitors, but multiple groups can follow the experience together.
Are there any risks associated with the experience?
This experience may affect balance and could lead to a fall. It is therefore not suitable for individuals prone to vertigo, those with significant balance issues, or certain health concerns.
The experience also includes sequences with flashing lights and underwater scenes, making it unsuitable for individuals sensitive to light.
Please inform our team prior to participating so we can ensure the most comfortable experience possible. As with any VR experience, some participants may experience mild discomfort or disorientation. Those susceptible to motion sickness or balance issues may feel unsteady or nauseous. Your safety is our priority, and we have measures in place to assist all participants.
Can I bring a backpack into the experience?
Backpacks (even small ones) are not permitted for safety reasons but can be stored in lockers.
Can I bring a baby or small child?
For safety reasons, babies are not allowed in the experience, whether in carriers or strollers.
Is the experience safe for pregnant individuals?
The manufacturer of the VR headset does not indicate any safety concerns for pregnant individuals. However, we recommend consulting your doctor before participating to ensure the experience is right for you.

Where can I purchase tickets?
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance through the Fever platform.
What payment methods are accepted on-site?
Payment methods accepted on-site include credit and debit cards. Cash is not accepted.
Can I reschedule my ticket or get a refund?
You can change the date of your ticket up to 48 hours before your scheduled time. Please contact us with your ticket ID to request a change. Unfortunately, refunds are not available. For full details, see our Terms and Conditions.
What happens if I arrive late for my time slot?
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. If you are late, speak to a staff member upon arrival. We will do our best to accommodate you, but entry cannot be guaranteed, and your ticket may be forfeited.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, tickets can be transferred through your Fever account. Please note that transfers are final and cannot be undone.
Are tickets available at the door?
On-site ticket purchases may be available, but availability cannot be guaranteed. We recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
Do I need to bring a printed ticket, or can I show it on my phone?
No, you do not need a printed ticket. Your contactless ticket can be scanned directly from the QR code in the Fever app or your email.
Can I visit the experience again for free?
No, tickets for the experience are valid for one entry only.
ACCESSIBILITY
Can I take breaks or sit during the 45-minute experience?
The experience is designed to be continuous, but staff can assist if you need a short break. Please let us know before the experience begins if you require accommodations.
Can I wear eyeglasses during the experience?
Yes, eyeglasses can be worn during the experience. Our staff will help you adjust the headset for the best fit. Nearsighted individuals should keep their glasses on, while reading or farsighted glasses are unnecessary. Glasses with frames wider than 150 mm (5.9 inches) may not fit comfortably; we recommend wearing contact lenses if possible.
Is the experience accessible for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing?
Subtitles or captions are not available for this experience.
Can I participate if I use hearing aids?
Yes, hearing aids can be worn during the experience, but they cannot connect directly to the VR headset.
Is the experience wheelchair accessible?
Our VR experience requires manual wheelchairs due to safety considerations. Motorized wheelchairs cannot be accommodated as they may affect the experience for other visitors. A complimentary ticket is available for a companion to assist you.
Accessible parking is also available for visitors with disabilities or limited mobility.
I have balance issues or a history of vertigo. Can I still participate?
This experience can trigger vertigo. We offer canes and wheelchairs, in limited quantities, for added stability during the experience. Please inform our staff upon arrival, and they'll be happy to assist you.
Are service dogs allowed?
Due to the multi-user tracking technology, service dogs are not permitted.
Is the experience safe for people with heart conditions or epilepsy?
This experience may not be suitable for individuals with medical conditions such as epilepsy, severe motion sickness, or heart issues. Certain sequences include flashing lights and underwater scenes, which may cause discomfort for some. Please consult your healthcare provider if you have concerns.
Could the VR experience cause discomfort or be unsuitable for some individuals?
VR may not be suitable for individuals with claustrophobia, agoraphobia, fear of heights, fear of underwater environments, or epilepsy. Those prone to motion sickness may also experience discomfort while using a VR headset, potentially leading to symptoms such as drowsiness and increasing the risk of injury when returning to real-world activities.
Is the experience recommended for elderly participants?
Yes, elderly visitors are very welcome on the tour! For those who may need extra support, we recommend enjoying the visit in a wheelchair to reduce the risk of falls. Alternatively, coming with a companion can also provide added assistance for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Please note that we also have reduced-mobility friendly timeslots, which provides a less crowded environment. You can find these timeslots on our ticketing page.

Is parking available at the venue?
We don’t offer parking, but paid parking is available next to Montreal’s Old Port venue and in city-operated spots nearby.
Are lockers or a coat check available on-site?
Yes, lockers with keys are available for free. You will have access to them before entering the experience. Please note that lockers are in limited supply.
How can I reach the venue using public transportation?
The closest Metro stations are Place d'Armes and Champ-de-Mars.
Are there bathrooms at the venue?
Yes, bathrooms are available.

Yes, Life Chronicles is a great activity for schools and day camps interested in exploring technology, art, and natural history. We offer preferential pricing for school groups and will work with you to create a fun and enriching experience for your students.
